Heirloom 1920s Pale Pink Pintucked Baby Gown and Slip with Lace and Embroidery
Heirloom Baby Dresses: Heirloom Baby Gowns
This exquisite pale pink cotton lawn dress was hand made in the 1920s. A rare example of a baby gown in color in an age when babies wore mostly white, it has a pintucked bodice and delicate white embroidery extending down the front of the gown. The puffed sleeves have double rows of pintucks and are finished with soft white lace, as is the neckline. Above the double lace hem is more elegant embroidery. The pintucked back has no closure, as gowns this elegant would have been closed with a beautiful baby pin. The matching lace trimmed slip is equally lovely.
This is a truly unique, one of a kind, heirloom portrait dress, christening, baptism, or dedication dress for a very special baby girl!
