Heirloom Baby Clothes: Heirloom Baby Dresses
This beautiful white handkerchief linen dress was made in Scotland in the early 1900s. Purchased at the Portobello Market in London, it features rows of horizontal and vertical fagoting on the front yoke with a row of lace insertion to join the full gathered skirt. The neckline and the long sleeves are finished with soft white lace. The dress has a back yoke with vertical fagoting and closes with four shell buttons. The full skirt has four rows of horizontal fagoting on the front and is finished with a deep 2¼" hem topped with hemstitching.
