Heirloom 1930s White Romper with Blue Pintucked Collar
Vintage Baby Clothes: Vintage Baby Rompers
This incredible little white romper was hand made in the Philippines in the 1940s, but it has never been worn! Washed for freshness, this beautiful little suit will arrive ready to wear for your baby boy's christening or any special dress-up occasion. When you love the look of heirloom clothing, but don't want the fuss of a christening gown, this makes an excellent choice. The suit features pintucks on the front and back and openwork embroidery on the chest, centered by three tiny mother of pearl buttons. The piped yoke is accented by two tiny blue pockets edged with scalloped embroidery and mother of pearl buttons. The exquisite blue collar has four sets of the tiniest pintucks, white embroidered eyelets, and a white scalloped embroidered edge. The blue turned back cuffs on the short sleeves are also edged in white scalloped embroidery. Pressed in pleats both front and back add to the more formal look. The suit closes in the back and the crotch with three small buttons. It is finished with a white belt that buttons in the front with two small tabs.
