Heirloom 1940s Pale Green Dress with Pintucks and Embroidery
Vintage Baby Clothes: Vintage Baby Dresses
This beautiful little cotton batiste dress of pale green was handmade in the Philippines in the 1940s. Never worn, the dress was removed from its original packaging and carefully laundered so that it arrives pristine and ready to for a very special baby to wear. The bodice is exquisitely detailed with tiny pintucks, fagoting, and delicate white embroidery. The lovely embroidery continues down the front of the dress and above the hemline with more fagoting and French knots. The short puffed sleeves, hem, and neckline are finished with white scalloped embroidery. The back of the dress has more pintucks and a back closure with two tiny buttons. Heirloom dresses in this lovely shade of green are quite rare.
This is the perfect little dress for your baby???s birthday, portrait, or other special occasion!
